27th at the National Mall. It is free and features more than 70
authors, illustrators and poets. The Smithsonian metro stop opens
onto the festival's grounds where you can spend the day listening to
and meeting your favorite authors and illustrators. The festival is
from 10 am to 5 pm, rain or shine.
If you would like to go to the National Book Festival with other
Barnsley families, please meet at Twinbrook Metro at 9:30 am on
Saturday, September 27th. Students must be accompanied by an adult.
We will ride down as a group on the Metro to the Smithsonian Mall
exit. Each family will then visit the different authors and
illustrators they want to see. When you are ready to leave, you can
take the Metro back to the Twinbrook station.
